With that said, I will reiterate the main concept of this fangame idea, which is to depict what a "UM sequel" could really look like. They most likely wanna spend their future resources in more brand new works - a reasonable thing to do. The point of building up a fangame w/ this in mind is that, I afraidly think that SNK will probably never be willing to get through that "definitive KoF compilation" formula again - because this time it would require much more extra work from their part just to put everything together due to the drastic engine & style differences between the source games. The way SNK wanted to celebrate each story arc of their biggest franchise, with KoF '98/2002 and their constant, "Ultimate & Unlimited" revamps, is outsandingly nice in my opinion.Īs a longtime KoF fan, my urge to play around with this concept is making me share all ideas and resources I can eventually come up with, regarding that concept, in order to try and overspread it to the remaining titles of the KoF storyline: the games made during the "Tales of Ash" period (KoF 2003 ~ XIII). I like to appreciate every bit and aspect of the dream matches that the KoF series established.
